EDTA MINERAL RESET TECHNOLOGY
Hard water and environmental exposure can leave calcium, magnesium, iron, copper and other inorganic material on the hair.
Our Disodium EDTA Complex acts as a chelator, binding unwanted metallic ions so they can be removed during washing.
This is particularly relevant to blond, bleached, highlighted, porous and hard-water exposed hair. Chelation can also leave mineral-loaded hair feeling exceptionally clean and soft — something we observed repeatedly during formulation testing.
2% CAFFEINE — NOT A TOKEN DOSE
Caffeine is one of the best-known ingredients in topical hair science. Follicular Reset contains it at a substantial 2% concentration.
A 2025 systematic review evaluated nine clinical studies involving 684 participants using topical caffeine preparations for androgenetic alopecia, shedding or thinning. All included studies reported outcomes favouring topical caffeine, although the quality of evidence varied.
We don't present caffeine as a miracle ingredient. We use it at a meaningful level as one component of a much broader multi-pathway formulation.
DIMETHYLGLYCINE — DMG
DMG is a glycine derivative associated with cellular methylation and one-carbon metabolism, with reported antioxidant, cytoprotective and anti-inflammatory properties relevant to the follicular environment.
Particularly interesting is double-blind, randomised, placebo-controlled research involving 154 men with hereditary hair loss using a DMG/caffeine-containing shampoo or placebo for six months. The active shampoo produced significant improvements in hair-loss and hair-growth parameters.
That makes DMG an exciting partner for our high-strength 2% Caffeine system.
PIROCTONE OLAMINE
Don't focus on the follicle while ignoring the scalp surrounding it.
Research involving Piroctone Olamine-containing scalp products has reported improvements in scalp condition and hair-related parameters.

EXFOLACTIVE®
EXFOLACTIVE® is a scalp-renewal active derived from Opuntia ficus-indica flower.
Rather than loading Follicular Reset with aggressive acids, EXFOLACTIVE® supports physiological desquamation. Manufacturer testing reports increased KLK-5 activity alongside reductions in dandruff quantity and improvements in scalp hydration.
The objective: effective scalp turnover while maintaining scalp comfort.
ADENOSINE
Adenosine has been investigated in human studies involving both male and female pattern hair loss.
Randomised placebo-controlled research has reported improvements in parameters including anagen growth and thick-hair measurements.
Rather than relying on Adenosine alone, it becomes another evidence-led component of our wider follicular architecture.
