Daniellic acid is an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid with a molecular formula of C18H32O4. It was first identified in the seed oil of the plant Danielia Olivieri. Daniellic acid has a double bond between carbon 9 and carbon 10 and a carboxylic acid group on both carbon 1 and carbon 8. It is a mono-unsaturated derivative of oleic acid, which is abundant in plants and animals.
